About the event
Exhibition & Craft Tellers’ Room
What does it mean to belong to a place? And how do the people, encounters and everyday experiences around us shape the way we see ourselves?
Spoken Portraits is a creative journey where personal stories are transformed into visual and embroidered portraits. Over the last year, the project has explored what it means to live in Tilburg, its diversity, multicultural layers, and the identities shaped through everyday encounters.
For this special gathering, the Spoken Portraits exhibition becomes a space for conversation, reflection and making. During a Craft Tellers’ Room, we will explore our own relationship with Tilburg and the places we inhabit through an embroidery meeting.
No previous embroidery experience is needed. You are invited to slow down, make something with your hands, and share stories about home, belonging, connection and the places that become part of who we are.
